Just because its a common interface for multiple games, it works, and no need to reinvent the wheel unless you can truly improve on whats already out there. I think the one thing they did do correctly was go with steam integration instead of rolling their own like it seems frontier is going to do with their community trading system and what not. And considering the time line they should be well beyond this and I feel like the core of the issue is probably miss-management. That's just my honest review of the current state of the game. This version of RCTW is what I expect from the open source community after many years of the original game being abandoned. I think some people will be able to make some decent looking parks with whats available and the mod tools will hopefully fill the gap letting people build more modular structures but the world has moved on and expect bigger and better.
This is what I expect from half-assed token based nickle and dime clones of old games being made for mobile. They failed to take into account how gaming has changed since rct3 came out and it shows. it was just frustrating because it seems like all they really did was migrate rct3 over to unity.
